Asura’s Wrath Review…Action game or really pricy motion picture.
Hello everyone sorry for being a little light on the posts, but life has been a bit crazy. Nevertheless the show must go on and to start things off I will be doing a review of Capcom’s newest action game Asura’s Wrath. While at first glance the game seems to be “pretty” that’s pretty much all there is to this game…if you want to call it that.
Graphics: Asura’s Wrath is probably most powerful in it’s graphics department. Lushly drawn cell shade like graphics and character design truly make this game shine. This game covers it all not only with nicely done backgrounds, but also with amazing anime style cel shaded character designs. This game is very upscale in the animation department. Score: 9.5/10
Sound: The music in Asura’s Wrath is pretty well done. There will be a lot of screaming from our main protagonist in this game…and I do mean A LOT! Score: 8.5/10
Gameplay: …good question. There is enough gameplay in Asura’s Wrath to measure up to a grain of sand. The game only lasts six hours. Close to 95 percent of this time is CGI movie scenes. There are segments where you will be in basic god of war type fight scenes. There is also some unique missions, one of which includes you having sake in a spa like scene with several naked women. The way to complete the mission…don’t stare at their assets. Literally…you beat the mission by not staring at the women for too long. Even though this adds a hint of intrigue, in the end you are paying $60.00 to watch a movie. Score: 1/10
Issues: With mainly eye candy and very little gameplay, Asura’s Wrath is not worth the price tag. This title is a rental at most.
Final Score: 4/10
