Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning review.
Hello everyone Lucas here, sorry for being light on the blogposts lately but my new internship has had me running ragged. Nonetheless, the blogging must go on.
Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning literally blindsided me when it was released. I felt that this title would not disappoint me, so I grabbed myself a copy with little expectations. Let me tell you folks, this was the game I was looking for to tide me over since I long completed Dragon Age 1 and 2.
Graphics: Kingdom of Amalur presents some fairly impressive graphics. The lush backgrounds and spell animations are pretty good. There are however a few graphical glitches that appear now and then, but this in no way ruins the amazing experience. The character models seem a bit on the Playstation 2 side at times, especially with regard to the lip movement and details on the character expressions. Score 8.5/10
Gameplay: This is where Amalur truly shines. From the moment you encounter your first battle, the game completely draws you in. People will fall in love with the blending of hack and slash and strategic combat especially with bows and arrows, and sorcery. The combat system is very slick and I experienced very little slowdown. The character development system is also fairly unique and amazing. You’re no longer structured to having a wizard who can only use staves. In Amalur you can now have a sorcerer who can assassinate their opponent from behind like a thief. This wonderful blend of possible customizations only makes the game that much more amazing to play. See for yourself. Score: 10/10
Sound: A beautifully composed soundtrack. If the gameplay and story fail to draw then the music will definitely do a good job of mesmerizing you. The voiceovers are well done overall, but some of the voice acting can be hit or miss. Score: 9/10
Issues: Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning unfortunately has it’s issues. Somewhat low quality character models, and pixel glitches are highly noticeable. Again folks, this is no reason to turn away from this amazing game.
This is a game that any RPG fan should have in their collection. The story is amazing, the gameplay is timeless, and the length of the game is nearly similar to that of Dragon Age. This is a definite runner for game of the year.

The Gaming Angel 
I agree with you entirely about the story, gameplay, graphics ect. Myself I’ve never experienced any difficulty’s with the map glitching or other problems like that but I think it might be a possibility that the game works better when downloaded to a harddrive like on the Xbox 360. I’ve recently started a gaming blog and would appreciate any advice you could give to someone new to blogging.

Much like Facebook and Twitter, blogging is very important to your reputation on the blogosphere. People will see how you write, and judge your credibility based on that. Some tips to follow when you blog.
-Be accurate and concise with what you blog about.
– “Thank you” can go a long way. When it comes to blogs, you will always have a critic. Always respond with thank you for your comment or thank you for responding to my blog.
– Avoid arguing on your blog because you can risk damaging your credibility in the eyes of your readers.
– Always be sure to use specific tags. Especially with regards to XBOX blogging.
-Use Facebook and Twitter to your advantage when advertising your blog. This is a good way to draw your friends and followers to your blog, and an excellent way to bring new followers.
-Always remind readers of your blogs to follow you and tell their friends about your page.
