VanillaWare’s sneaky but awesome surprise.

What is VanillaWare you ask?  Well, back in 1997 Atlus released a game entitled Princess Crown for the Sega Saturn console in Japan.  Sadly, this amazing game never saw a US release.  The director of Princess Crown and a few of the key developers soon after left Atlus to form VanillaWare.  They are responsible for games like Odin Sphere, GrimGrimoire, and Muramasa: The Demon Blade.

Since Muramasa’s release for the Wii several years back, VanillaWare has been developing a game in secret for the PS3 that was recently revealed at E3 called Dragon’s Crown.  This is a side scrolling Action RPG platformer similar to that of Golden Axe, and Guardian Heroes. I think this will be a fantastic masterpiece from VanillaWare that will impress PS3 fans everywhere.  In the trailer shown here the game is scheduled for release in the spring.  Whether this game will be released in the spring is still unknown.  I will keep everyone posted once information becomes available.  What do you think of this game?

Thanks for reading, and as always I look forward to your feedback.  Til next time.
